PBA Finals San Miguel Beermen vs Ginebra Game 3-2q

San Miguel guards Chris Ross and Alex Cabagnot also had solid shooting nights with Ross scoring 24 points on 58-percent shooting and Cabagnot chipping in with 20 points, including three three-pointers, to help the Beermen take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven title series.

SMB bucked another slow start, trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half, before figuring things out in the second half.

The Beermen especially dominated the final stretch, holding Ginebra scoreless over the last 4:02 of the game to close out on a 12-0 run.

Like in Game 2, Ginebra got off to a big start with LA Tenorio catching fire early. Tenorio scored 10 of Ginebra’s first 20 points in the first quarter while a three-pointer from Sol Mercado made it an eight-point game, 23-15, early in the game.

Barangay Ginebra was able to stretch that lead in the second quarter after Mark Caguioa sparked a 9-0 charge for the Kings, 41-29.
